The problem
Ask three black belts how long blue belt takes and you will get three answers, a shrug, and a "it depends." All of them are right and none of them are useful to the white belt three months in who just wants to know whether feeling lost is normal. (It is.)
The information exists. It lives in forum threads, federation PDFs, gym-lobby conversations and the heads of instructors. RollPath collects it in one place, separates the hard rules (the IBJJF actually publishes minimum ages and time-in-rank requirements) from the folklore, and labels which is which.
What's here
Free guides on the belt system, each belt, and the questions everyone Googles on the drive home from their first class. A belt timeline calculator that gives you a realistic range instead of a promise. More tools as we build them.
The app
RollPath the app is a coach with receipts: film a roll and get an AI breakdown with a score, key moments, and the one fix to drill next; see the curriculum your belt actually asks of you; sharpen between classes with live-sparring decision scenarios; and keep every mat hour on the record. It never promises promotion dates, your coach grants the belt, RollPath makes sure you are ready when they do. In development, coming to the App Store; the first 200 on the waitlist get early access.
Who makes this
RollPath is built by Metellus Productions, a small independent studio. Questions, corrections, or something a page got wrong? Tell us, we fix things fast.
